Pip Spandorfer, M.D.
Dr. Pip grew up in Columbus, Georgia and earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Emory University. After completing medical school at the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Pip pursued residency in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, followed by a chief residency and a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine. He remained on staff at CHOP and on faculty at the University of Pennsylvania before returning to Georgia in 2005.
From 2005 to 2017, Dr. Pip balanced work between general pediatrics and the Pediatric Emergency Room at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Since 2017, he has focused exclusively on general pediatrics, with over 25 years of experience in the field. Dr. Pip is dedicated to addressing all aspects of a child’s well-being, including growth, development, nutrition, activity, and mental health.
Married with two children and two long-haired dachshunds, Dr. Pip enjoys studying, volunteering and staying active in his free time.
Tracy Barr, M.D.
Dr Barr is a board-certified General Pediatrician and fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a graduate from the University of Georgia and earned her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine.
She completed her Pediatric Residency at the University of Alabama where she was awarded the Argus Award for “Best Pediatric Resident.” She has practiced pediatrics in the metro Atlanta area since 2006. Dr Barr. has a special interest in preventative medicine, infectious diseases in childhood and newborn medicine.
Dr Barr and her husband love being busy raising their three children in northwest Atlanta. In her free time, Dr Barr enjoys drinking coffee, playing with her large mutt Champ, reading historical fiction and running.
Ben Grinzaid, M.D.
Dr. Ben Grinzaid, a native of Atlanta, GA, attended high school at the Weber School. He pursued his passion for medicine by earning a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Georgia, followed by a medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv, Israel.
After completing his pediatric residency at Jacobi Medical Center, part of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, Dr. Grinzaid returned to Atlanta to serve the community he loves. With experience in private practice in Atlanta and additional expertise from his work at CHOA Urgent Care, Dr. Grinzaid is dedicated to providing exceptional care to children of all ages.
Dr. Grinzaid is particularly interested in the management and treatment of ADHD, asthma, and autism. His holistic approach ensures that each child receives comprehensive and compassionate care tailored to their unique needs.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Grinzaid enjoys spending time with his wife Rosie and their two children, Noah (4 years old) and Maya (1 year old). He is also an avid fan of Atlanta’s sports teams.
Tara Buckhalter, CPNP
Tara Buckhalter is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with expertise in both primary and acute care. She earned her nursing degree from Florida State University and completed her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
With a background as a nurse practitioner in pediatric cardiac surgery, Tara is excited to bring her specialized expertise to primary care. She continues to have a strong passion for caring for patients with cardiac disorders.
Originally from Florida, Tara and her husband, Matt, have made Atlanta their home, where they are raising their two children, Reid and Elliot. In her free time, Tara enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.
