Acetaminophen can be given every 4 to 6 hours, with no more than 5 doses in 24 hours. Ibuprofen can be repeated every 6 to 8 hours and should not be given to babies under 6 months old unless your pediatrician directs it. When in doubt about a dose, an ingredient, or your child's symptoms, call us before giving anything.

If your child is under 3 months with any fever, vomiting and can't keep medication down, or seems unusually drowsy or unwell, call us before dosing.
