What happens to my appointment currently scheduled in October or November with Dr. Pip?
You can keep your same date and time for your appointment with Dr. Pip if you would like to transfer your child’s pediatric care to Focus Pediatrics. Someone from Dr. Pip’s new office will contact you to confirm your choice.

Who can be a patient at Focus Pediatrics?
Focus Pediatrics will be open to all of Dr. Pip’s current patients and will gladly welcome new patients as well. Focus Pediatrics will accept both newborns and older children.

If I would like to become a patient of Focus Pediatrics, how do I transfer my records?
If you wish to transfer your medical records from North Atlanta Pediatrics or ANY other pediatric practice, please complete the records transfer form located here. Once you have completed this form, Focus Pediatrics will proceed with requesting that your medical records be transferred to us.

What types of insurance plans will Focus Pediatrics Accept?
Focus Pediatrics will accept all major commercial insurance plans. Focus Pediatrics will not be a medicaid provider.

What are the office hours of Focus Pediatrics?
Focus Pediatrics will be open to see patients Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm with a break for lunch from 12p to 1p. We will have Saturday hours from 8a to 12p during cold and flu season.

Dr. Ben Grinzaid, Dr. Tracy Barr, and Tara Buckhalter, NP. Please see more information about each provider on our Team page.

What types of services will be provided by Focus Pediatrics?
We will see newborns and older children for both well child care and sick visits, as well as treat and manage medication for children with ADD. Focus Pediatrics will also hold monthly prenatal meet and greets to answer the questions of expecting parents.

What is happening at North Atlanta Pediatrics?
The other physicians will remain at North Atlanta Pediatrics and will continue to provide the same level of excellent care you have received from them in the past. Dr. Pip wishes them all the best.

Can I have one child at Focus Pediatrics and one child at North Atlanta Pediatrics?
Absolutely! If Dr. Pip has been the primary pediatrician for one of your children and one of the other physicians is the primary pediatrician for another child in your family, you can definitely transfer one child to Focus Pediatrics. But, Focus Pediatrics would be happy and capable of caring for ALL of your family’s pediatric care needs!
